A new module as been added to the uLilsting package. The module is called uListingmap and gives the user an option to view search results in a map.

Please download the latest version from your account.

Upgrade Instructions:
- backup your ulisting directory.
- copy the new version over the old one
- copy the tpl directory from the backup to the new version.

The Taxonomy module must be installed before installing uListing. The dependency check for this is not working but will be fixed soon.

This only affects ulisting-1.0.215.tar.gz or earlier.

Current version ulisting-1.0.216.tar.gz has been fixed.

uListingMC is a generic and basic mortgage calculator. It doesn't need the uListing module to work but will insert a "mortgage calculator" link into uListing listings.

Installation:
- simply install like anyother drupal module.

Allows you to add members to your friends list. Also has an invite friend section which will send an email inviting them to the site.

There's also a corkboard system which allow friends to post messages to your corkboard.

Current Features
- add/remove members to friends
- post corkboard message to friends when viewing their profile page
- invite friends to join site via form which emails them
- when an invited friend joins the site then that person is automatically added to the member that invited them.

rListing is a real estate module that plugs into Drupal 5.x. The module can be used by individual agents as their personal listing site or by agencies to allow their agents to login and post their own listings.

Here is a quick guide to get you started with the uListing module.

1. make sure your drupal 6.x is working
2. extract the uListing into your modules directory... in most cases it's sites/all/modules
3. goto "Administer"->"Site building"->"Modules"
4. Activate all the uListing modules you need (you'll need at least uListing API and uListing)
5. goto "Administer"->"Site configuration"->"uListing Management"
6. Enter your "uListing License Key"
7. goto http://code.google.com/apis/maps/signup.htm to get your google key if you plan on using google maps with ulisting.

There's a known bug with the image uploader. You will not be able to change the image caption during listing creation. However, you are able to change the caption once the listing has been created and submitted.

To change the caption, edit the list and scroll down to the image part.

You should do the configuration before entering any listings.

1. Setup your taxonomies (categories)
   
2. Setup your google map keys
   
3. Give the proper permissions (remember to also give upload image and view image files.
   
4. enable the blocks you'd like to usee (feature, search ...)
   
5. you may want to move the uListin menu around.

Building complicated, dynamic content in Drupal is easy, but it can come at a price. A lot of the stuff that makes a Web 2.0 site so cool can spell 'performance nightmare' under heavy load, thrashing the database to perform complex queries and expensive calculations every time a user looks at a node or loads a particular page.
